A quarter of Welsh people have difficulty with reading and writing and over half are unable to do basic arithmetic – which presents considerable problems for those who provide services to members of the public. Researchers at the University of Wales, Newport have developed a new interactive toolkit to solve this problem – and help people with literacy and numeracy problems to overcome barriers to work and education.
